Poured from a 12 ounce can into a nonic pint glass. A thin, caramel colored head with good lacing. The body of the beer is a dark brown, with reddish hues along the edges. The aroma has notes of dark cocoa, bread in the oven, roasted malts. The first sip exhibits the roasted malts, presumably Munich malts, the traditional one used for a Dunkel. Some cleansing hops bitterness clears the palate for a smooth mouthfeel. This is an excellent Dunkel by Armada.

A: appears opaque and very dark brown, but is crystal clear with ruby highlights if held to the light; 1 finger finely pored light brown head that receded to a wispy cap; very little lacing;
S: deeply roasted grain;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: flavor and aroma weren't as rich or complex as I expected; body was a little thin;
