Sampling a chilled 16 oz can poured into my weiss glass. Picked up at the brewery today. No date stamp on the label or can.
The beer pours a rich mahogany color with some light passing through my glass. A few lazy streams of carbonation can be seen rising to the surface. A creamy beige head of 1.5 cm foams up, this fades to a sturdy surface covering that remains through the sampling. I get dense clingy lattice on each sip or swirl of the glass.
Aroma on this beer is fairly mild with a hint of caramel and some bready yeast mixing with a little clove and some black pepper. The nose is overall very mild.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with very fine and tingly carbonation. texture is smooth and the beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is some light caramel and brown bread with a good hit of cloves and black pepper on the swallow. Slightly dry on the finish and peppery bite lingers after each sip. Never any real hint of the hops nor ABV on this beer.
Glad to try this brewery only release from Armada. Decent example, could use a little more malt character in my opinion but im still enjoying this glass.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
