Clear golden yellow with plenty of foam in the Tripel Karmeliet tulip. Hops are listed as Mosaic, El Dorado, Ekuanot, and Simcoe. Interesting aroma of pine, leaf mold, and a whiff of fermenting pineapple. Lush and prickly on the tongue. Less sweet and less fruity than what we are getting used to in the new IPA world.
Flavors of blackberry, browned biscuits, and a dank finish. Rather astringent aftertaste. Rich and tangy with distinct, but moderate bitterness. A pleasant gulp but fairly austere. From the 16 oz can purchased from Bine & Vine. Dated 12/28/20 on the bottom.
