Something Good is a rotating IPA series where we explore new ingredients, techniques and processes with the hope of hitting on something good…enjoy!
For the sixth iteration of our Something Good series we’ve gone for a citrus delight, taking a fruity IPA and adding Orange, Pink Grapefruit and Lemon zest to the party. Dry Hopped with Sabro, Motueka and Lemondrop, SG6 draws on experience we have gained with using fruit zests in beers such as Mi Casa Es Tu Casa and Break Me Into Bigger Pieces, and pushes the boat far out!

500 ml can, from Seven Cellars. ABV is 6.2%.Cloudy pale yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of citrus / citrus zest, tropical fruits, pine and spruce galore. Citric flavour, not too sweet, plenty of zest, hints of tropical fruits in the background, piney / resinous bitter finish.

Pours a hazy yellow with fine, thick head that leaves tons of lacing behind.
Smell is fruity and juicy with notes of citrus, pineapple and orange marmalade, with hints of coconut, lemongrass and ginger.
Taste is fruity and grassy with notes of lime, coconut, orange, pineapple, lemongrass and lemonade with a soft, floral bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, another very good IPA from Deya.
