Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country...
L- Pours black, with 5mm mid-tan fine-bubble head.
S- Tropical fruit and citrus.
T- It's like a bold US IPA for it's contemporary hops notes, just within a black beer. Citrus, perfumed, bright with floral notes.
F- It's not OTT, it's not a hop-hammer. But I get much more Feel of the hop notes than any roasty porter ones.
O- Well it's a bit of a cross-breed, two styles in one. Whether it works is up to your tastes. I suspect the younger fans of contemporary hops will win out with this ones, and more trad porter fans less so. Interesting to try but just a bit much going on and perhaps a bit 'too clever by half' for me.
Review1949/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! > Vegan, unfilt/unpast.
440ml can BBE: 28/07/2021 £4.50 Far too $$$ for what it is. Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
