Collaboration with BOXCAR
An old school English Barley Wine brewed in collaboration with our good friends at Boxcar Brew Co.
Big, rich, lashings of English hops. This luxurious Barley wine has upfront aromas of peach, apricot, and light caramel. The body is big with flavours of candied orange, toffee and panetone. Sweet, clean and gently warming on the finish.

L- Dark gold, 1Cm white foam cap. It's hazy too, held to a light you can see particles suspended in it. Oh BTW, the bottle cap popped with almost no noise/gas; though it's bottled in one of those really heavy champage-style high pressure bottles. Lacing forms on the way down = good.
S- Fruity and slightly floral. Apples?
T- The fruit note carries over into the taste. Sightly perfumey fruit too, but it works well. Big, rich, an in-balance bitter twist into the finish.
F- CO2 remains good in the glass. In the mouth the gas seems lower, but unsurprising at 11.0%. This is a full-on beer and would be ideal for sharing with another beer-head.
O- Nice, it's skillfully brewed with nothing to offend. A good pick to slow-sip over winter months.
Bought from Trembling Madness York for home-delivery. 375ml bottle BB: 2026
