Half a liter in the Almhüttendorf tent and bier hall/garten at Stuttgart frühlingsfest in late April 2023. Like their Festbier, I didn’t expect much from this but again pleasantly surprised. Super fruity and yeasty with a really tasty finish. Might be better than usual bc it’s at fest but overall great.

Found this bottle at a beer store in a small southwestern town (New Kensington) outside of Pittsburgh for cheap. It has a light apple juice gold color to it with a big, soapy (thanks to great carbonation) head that died slow and left lace patches. Standard hefe aroma of lemon-zest citric along w/ clove and spice and also some wet hops. Light, smooth, a lil' bit of sweetness due to a good wheat twang and the citric sharpness is minor. Not much bitterness at all as fruit flavors are palatable (banana, lemon, orange) and it finishes clean and smooth. An enjoyable summer beer, one could say, and while simplistic a good represenation of this style.
