440ml can from O'Briens Wine Off-Licence, Athlone (€3):
Pale golden to straw with a huge, 5 or 6cm 5tgats foany white with a large dome on the surface & good retention. The nose is very light, some citrus & faint grassy notrs, subtle tropical fruits & biscuit but not much else & too weak for my liking. There's a little more of the tropical flavours with the taste, some pineapple, citrus & hints of melon but it's still not overly pronounced; some bread malts & biscuit appear around the middle whilst the finish is quite dry & resinous. It's well carbonated & tangy but too light overall really, even if it's only 4.5%.

Keg pint at The Railway Bar, Sligo. Slightly hazy golden colour, creamy white head. Aroma and flavour of citrus, hints of tropical fruits and pine - but just too little of everything. Thin mouthfeel, otherwise there is nothing wrong with it - but there are just too many of these insipid "session IPAs" these days.

Turbid yellow body with white reflections, coarse-grained white foam broken up by rapid evanescence. Scent of bread crust, honey and tropical fruit, light spiciness. On the palate a fresh fruit salad, lychee, pineapple, citrus, peach, papaya, the finish is dry and hoppy resinous. Slim body and high sparkling.
