Collaboration with Gun Hill Brewery
This beer combines the famous hearty big breakfast fry up along with our love of beer. Together with our friends at Gun Hill Brewery in the Bronx NY we fried our bacon in Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey. We added this, along with a big bag of Keogh’s potatoes and large amounts of Flahavans Oatmeal to the Mash. These ingredients intensify the brew to create a delicious breakfast-style porter.

A: The beer is jet black in color and poured with a massive two finger high tan head that took a long time to settle down - I had to do three separate pours over a span of five minutes waiting for the head to die down enough before I was able to pour out the contents of the can. The head never completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate aromas of peat are present in the nose along with hints of whiskey; the whiskey becomes much stronger as the beer begins to warm up.
T: The taste follows the smell and is very peaty with notes of dark malts and whiskey, the latter of which linger into the finish.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout makes for a good breakfast beer once you can get past all of the foam in the head. It does a good job at hiding nearly all of the alcohol from the taste.

A nice imperial porter. Nose of chocolate malts, medium roast coffee and whiskey.
Mouth the Irish Whiskey is upfront with oatmeal adding creaminess, chocolate malts and a finish of whiskey and slight bitterness but in a good way.
