14.9 ounce can, wasn't able to locate any dating on the label or can. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or do tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like blueberries, vanilla, coconut, roasted malt and some coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark chocolate. I think the blueberry stands out in both the aroma and taste, but doesn't overpower the other flavors either. Leans sweeter tasting, but then it is a pastry stout. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, but then I like blueberries in general too. Definitely recommended to people who like blueberries, would like to try this again in the future!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This stunner pours a dark coal black with
a big bubbled head of khaki foam that settles to a fat ring and clumping layer
with nice lacing. Nose of blueberry, char, faint coconut, coffee, medium
vanilla, and dark chocolate. Flavors just about hit the higher ratings with
a fine well balanced presentation of blueberry, char, subtle cream, balanced
vanilla, coffee, dark bakers chocolate, and earthy malts. Mouthfeel is full, smooth,
coating, lightly slick, light carbonation, and a rich balanced NON CLOYING finish
that beckons for another taste that ends with a bitter malt note.
Overall, this is one brewery to watch out for. Impressive and substantial!
Cheers

If they could get their mouthfeel a tad bit heavier, that would really elevate the experience. The flavors work well together. The blueberries are what really shine though: the aroma is fragrant and fresh; the flavor is a bright, real, fresh, slightly bitter blueberry skin and body variety. That plays against the stout base so well, with the middle mellowed by the coconut and vanilla.
This might be one to mix with a heavier stout for a heftier cuvée.

I don't see any date listed on the can, but there is a code listed on the rim of the bottom: "L216263"
Appearance: The body of the beer is a very dark brown color which borders very closely on black. It has a short head that is light khaki in color. The head has a creamy texture with wisps of lacing that lick the edges of the glass. It is a pretty looking beer. Pretty good head retention.
Aroma: There is a light wood-like aroma with notes of alcohol and a light burnt coffee scent. The aroma is pretty muted.
Taste: Up front it tastes like blueberries and chocolate. The middle of the mouth is dark chocolate and a bit of espresso with hints of alcohol. The back of the mouth is bitter, burnt coffee. The aftertaste has a bit of a blueberry character. It kind-of tastes like a blueberry filled dark chocolate which is nice, but the flavors aren't very prominent and they don't meld well together.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium-strength bitterness and a slightly thin texture. Alcohol is present but it never hampers drinkability. Medium-light body.
Overall: It is a pretty good beer. The label states that it is an "IMPERIAL PASTRY STOUT" and that it is "BREWED WITH COCONUT, VANILLA AND BLUEBERRIES." The blueberries come through but the coconut and vanilla definitely don't. It is a bit disappointing that the coconut and vanilla don't come through As a pastry stout it really doesn't fit the bill either, as it just doesn't have the flavor, aroma, or texture one would normally expect. It is just a basic flavored Imperial Stout. The flavors are still good enough that I could drink it again but it wouldn't be something I would likely buy again. I would recommend it to those who might be looking for a blueberry stout with a more subtle blueberry flavor, but start off with a single can or pour.
