Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with little light transmission in the glass and a half finger khaki head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, coconut and light lactose and bourbon. Flavor is dark toasted malt, vanilla, coconut, light lactose and cocoa; bourbon in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid barreled milk stout with balanced vanilla and coconut adjuncts. The bourbon character is subdued, but present in the finish. Body is little thin for a stout this size, but the malt has enough depth to support the coconut and vanilla. Pleasant with good barrel character.
