this didnt do a whole lot for me, really unrefined, milky from that tap, no real head, thick as can be, orange and pink tinted, but drab and ugly too. its certainly wheat based, i will say that for it, all kinds of soupy wheat malt at the core of this, really the defining element in front of the fruit. im not sure i could call out either the pomegranate or the rhubarb in this, maybe a little twangy tartness from both of them, slightly medicinal too, but there is sweetness remaining that balances them out, and the less than fully clean ferment obscures their essences a little bit to me. they do both seem natural though, and that counts for a lot. id rather have it this way that forced upon me with a sweet overpowering extract or syrup or something, so i can appreciate that, and i get them both climaxing near the finish. still, more wheat than anything else here, a little soapy thing from the yeast, and a combination of way too much body and not nearly enough carbonation really weights this down, it straight up feels chewy for something that wants to be summery and refreshing, a miss. definitely my least favorite of the beers i had from these guys both at the brewery and around town. awesome spot, tons of ambitious brews and when they hit they hit, but this one left quite a lot to be desired for me. in the end though, i like the rhubarb element so good job with that despite a lackluster overall brew.
