incredible beer, even pushing into that beer of the year candidate range, certainly on the ipa side, i was super stoked on this, and think its the best of its kind ive ever had, who would ever think it from such a little under the radar spot, but this is epic beer. pina colada ipa, just glorious on all fronts. hazy but not gross, in fact this is quite delicate, not too thick to look at, real pale yellow colored, soft and pillowy looking with a lasting few inches of white cream head. its also super dry and the flavors are not overdone, so this drinks easy, even session level. its genius is not in the coconut and pineapple marriage, thats been a known gem for awhile, its the fusion of the hops with those thing. id love to know what they used in this but its just absolute magic. there is complimentary meyer lemon and lemongrass citrus notes, i get white wine and green melon too, faint key lime, could be citra and something from new zealand, but im not sure, soft white tea herbals too in aroma and in flavor. its also real smart that the pineapple and coconut are so natural, this has the refreshing elements of ice cold coconut water, and the clean summery punch of fresh pineapple, neither are sweet at all, and the hops are never bitter or green in the least, overall freshness is insane. this almost drinks like a pale ale, its that approachable, among the best fruited ipa types in the game right now, this takes me on a badly needed beach vacation, and i want more! truly phenomenal.
