A malt forward beer with a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. The deep red color is sometimes confused for a porter or a stout. Dark malts and 20lbs of honey per batch lend to aromatic notes of plums and currents.

Pours a dark amber color. 2 1/2 finger reddish/white head. Head retention is decent. Some really nice lacing clinging to the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is quite moinimal. Just the faintest malt hint. Nothing else.
Taste - Malty, for sure. There's also just the faintest hint of smoke in the flavor. There's also a slight hop presence.
The body is what's expected.
Good solid amber ale.
