Poured into a nonic from a pint can.
Pours dark gold, nearly brown, and cloudy. Limited head. Almost no lacing.
Aromas of honey and lemon. Almost like a cough drop, though.
The brew hits the tip of the tongue with honey-kissed malt, then fake citrus. Like the nose, it has an artificial cough-drop honey-lemon flavor. No real tartness, just false lemon.
Medium bodied, which seems a little heavy for the style. Good carbonation, and a drying presence at the finish, but that's about it.
Everything about this one is "off." It doesn't really check any box for the style, as the lemon flavor doesn't really impart any tartness, and it looks like hell. It doesn't taste terrible per se (although it isn't good), it just isn't a viable representation of what it purports to be.
