L-Dark brown with ruby and black highlights
S-Rich malts...dark fruits...plums...prunes...hint of chocolate.
T-Some melanoidins...nice maltiness you'd expect...dark fruits...plums again...a bit more chocolate on the taste but still mild and in the background. Love the dark fruit impression.
F-High side of medium bodied..rich without being sticky or oversweet...smooth....
O-This is a dandy. A legit solid well made doppel.
I first encountered Drumconrath two or three years ago when they were west of town. I thought that next to Junkyard they were the next best in the area...slightly above Drekker. This beer confirms what I thought then. Hardly see it in distribution in MN but found it at one store in Baxter...would love to see more of their offerings in places in MN.
