Pours a black color. One inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong roasted malt, piney hops, hint of coffee, sweet malt, slight alcohol, and a slight earthiness. Fits the style of a Milk / Sweet Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of strong roasted malt, piney hops, hint of coffee, sweet malt, slight alcohol, and slight lactose, unfortunate grassy/butter flavor. Overall, great appearance and feel, with a good aroma, but the grassy/butter flavor hurts.
