16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has short retention and leaves just a trace floating on top
S- smoky charred malt with notes of burnt coffee, chocolate, anise, caramel, vanilla cream, toasted walnuts and burnt marshmallow
T- roasted barley and char up front is immediately complimented by some dark fruit notes of raisin and plums. Mid-palate brings out some dark chocolate, as well as vanilla, black licorice and coffee. The finish gives more charred malt with some dark fruit on the linger
M- medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish
O- a solid baltic porter; bold, smoky charred malt with some nice fruity undertones
