Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a snifter. The beer was canned 7-2-18 and is listed as 10% on the can. I picked them up at the brewery.
The beer pours a dark coffee brown with a large fluffy tan head foaming up even with a gentle pour. The head is about 4 cm and then fades to a sturdy edge layer.
The beer gives a malty aroma that is fairly fruity and sweet. I get brown sugar and some red grape, dark cocoa, roasted malt notes. No hops nor any booze notes here either. Enticing aroma and fairly bold, I like it.
First sip reveals an average to thick body with spacious slightly tingly carbonation. Texture is a little slick and oily and coats my palate after each swallow.
The flavor is all malt as the nose advertised up front. I get a bit of roasted malt and some dark chocolate and a bit of coffee ground too. A bit of dark fruit here with raisins and some plum. I also get a faint hit of anice and the finish is lingering roasted malt notes.
The ABV is high and is completely hidden. I think this is a slightly dangerous big beer and find it easy to drink and enjoyable. Well done.

Draft offering at Boneshire. Served on nitro in a snifter. The brew appears dark brown with a khaki head that fades leaving spotty lace.
An aroma of roasty chocolate, anise and raisony fruit to plum. It tastes fruity like the previously mentioned plum/raison with chocolate, roast and earthy coffee.
This is medium in body with moderate carbonatiom and overall is a pleasant sipper.
