Had this beer last night at the brewery. Came in a 16 oz mason jar. Beer is a fairly clear goldenrod color with minimal creamy bleached white head.
The head fades to nothing pretty quickly after arrival at our table.
The aroma of the beer is some bready yeast with spicy cloves and black pepper. No real hop presence nor any hint of the 7.1 %abv.
First sip reveals and average body with a bit of sticky texture. Carbonation is average and fine on my palate.
Flavor is spot on for the style a bit of caramel and then lots of spices with anice, cloves and some black pepper. I also get a little fruit like pear note. No abv and no hops. This is a yeast drive flavor profile.
I find it very drinkable and would gladly get this beer again on future visits.
