Every year we award the prize of Mugger of the Year (MOY). This person or persons get to work closely with our brewers every step of the way in designing, brewing, and packaging their own beer. Our 2021-2022 winners were Darius Johnson (#218) & Steve Hile (#44). We are proud to bring to you their Black IPA called Kurobuta ("Black Pig" in Japanese). Cheers!

Always enjoy finding a hard to find Black IPA!
Nicely colored very dark brown/black color with speckled lacing and light tan head.
Aroma is certainly hoppy. No roastiness. Tropical notes for sure.
Taste is sweeter than i would like. Roasty does come in the taste. Leah calls it toasted orange! Very interesting way to describe this beer!
