Copenhagen 2111 2024. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Green label with Oma holding a mug of beer.
Pours opaque murky maroon with a small off-white head. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is fairly items with a sweet malty and a bit boozy odor mingling with a scent of sourish grains. Sweet caramel and toffee. Rye bread. Sour grains and sharp alcohol. Whiff of licorice.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a streak of warming alcohol. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet with a light boozy burn.
Oma got a nice taste in Bock.

Grandma's Bedtime Treat! From the half liter bottle, it pours a darker amber color with a modest, though long lasting, off-white head. In the nose, it is strongly malty in scent. The mouth follows, with a classic Franken Bock flavor with hints of caramel and roasted malts. Nice!
