The Bear And Peacock

Went on a lowkey Saturday afternoon, although they already had people their waiting to take the tour in the adjoining distillery. Cool people, bartender was willing to shoot the bull about beer, a couple TVs around as well as a Nintendo 64 (in case you want to play Mario Kart). Beerwise, the beers I had were good and they represented a few different styles, and perhaps the only knock on the beer selection is just the fact that they have a limited amount of taps (I think seven or eight).

It's a nice place. I went at somewhat of an off-time (late Saturday afternoon). It is a brewery and distillery; it was neat seeing not only the brew equipment but also the still. I had a flight of beers selected with the help of the bartender, who was overall very helpful and friendly. They have a good number of styles there but not an enormous selection. I have to go back, try more beer and some of their spirits.

 

The space is beautiful, nice large open air interior with a mix of tables, bar seats and a private spirits tasting room. Nintendo 64, NETFLIX and sports on the T.V. Brewery and distillery tours are available often. Beer selection was OK, but not very unique flavors. This company has been in business for 9 years as a distillery and they only started brewing 3 years ago, they had 8 beers on tap and half of them were very simple and lacked proper style qualities. I couldn't finish drinking them out of disgust for the off flavors I was tasting. I would stick to spirits or do some homework on how true beer should taste. Below average.
