From the 16 fl. oz. can dated 01/17/2018. Sampled March 17, 2018.

It pours a cloudy medium amber with yellow highlights underneath a modest white head that laces as it fades.

The main sensations I get on the nose are citrus zest, herbs, pine, and a kind of white bread malt base.

Medium body.

The same citrus and pine characters break through in the flavor and the dry bitterness at the end lingers momentarily. However, there is also a keen sweet malt underbelly.

I live 7 miles from the brewery, yet I bought an old can in a local store. What can I say? I bet a fresher one would be far better.

From 16oz can purchased at the brewery. Pour copper with the thin white head. Citrus and pine in the aroma. Bitterness really kicks in this one. Nice IPA, but nothing special.

Poured into a 16 oz Revolution Pint glass canned on 12/05/17. Pours a very clear dark orange with a half inch white head that leaves some nice thick streaks of lace as it settles into a nice layer of foamy bubbles.

Smell is apricot, tangerine, hard apple candy, pine resin, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows apricot, tangerine, candy, piney, and a nice dose of grapefruit in a fairly bold finish.

Mouthfeel is pretty big for its ABV, plenty of life, a tad sticky from the fresh hops, and for it drinks closer to 7.5 or 8.

Overall this is a nice brew, as Jzeilinger said this is the clearest NEIPA on this earth, taste like a cross between NE and West Coast in flavors, nice beer.

Many thanks to SawDog505 for this can!

A - Pours an ultra-clear dark orange gold color with soapy lacing and light carbonation.

S - Fruity, juicy, almost candy-like aroma.

T - A little grassy/earthy, delicate fruitiness, and a lingering piney bitter finish.

M - Medium body.

O - An old school IPA and refreshing for a change coming from the Northeast.

CONCORD THE SENATAH IPA 12/25/17

Gifted by my daughter Jenny and her Boyfriend Ian. Newish New Hampshah brewery.

Clever names for these NH capital city brews with NE accented spellings include the DIPA version of the Senatah called the "Gov'nah."

Canned 12/5/17, so about 3 weeks old.

a; Clear amber with a finger thick white head which receded slowly to thin surface foam and patchy lacing.

s: Primarily bready malt and pine resin.

t; Piney bitterness dominates into a dry finish. Smooths out somewhat with mild butterscotch notes

m; Lighter side of medium, good body and carbonation tingle.

o; A west coast style in appearance and taste, on the short side flavorwise other than the general hop bitterness. Easily identifiable as an American style IPA but not exceptionally so.

Sample at The Thirsty Moose Manchester.
Slightly hazy light golden color with a thin white head. Resinous earthy pine with a hint of citrus and some sweet bready malt underneath. Decent beer.

NH brewers, after a somewhat slow start, have begun producing some very fine IPAs in recent years. The Senatah is one of the newer ones and it still has somewhat limited distribution as it's not currently available in my home area of SW NH. Nonetheless, I've been making it a point to purchase this product when in an area where it's available. Unfiltered and somewhat cloudy but. as the can states, it has a "unique and complex flavor profile" from the hop and malt varieties used in the brewing process. 6.5% is perfect and barely noticeable. Kudos to Concord Craft Brewing for this entrant into the competitive IPA world.

Look fits the IPA style. This one is unfiltered so pretty cloudy...but in a nice way. Smells delicious and the taste matches the smell. Overall this is excellent. I enjoy The Gov'nah (the DIPA version) but think this is even better in terms of flavor. Very happy to have a NH brewery with this caliber of beer.
