16oz can from Bert's
Hazy yellow color with a small wispy wit head that dissipates quickly. Earthy spicy light bready malt on the nose. Tart lemony flavor bitter caramel or butterscotch mixed into the earthy spicy with a bit of astringency. Where is the banana, where is the clove, where is the hefe? Call it an American wheat if you want but clean up the off flavors.

From the 16 oz. can dated 06/08/2018. Sampled on July 20, 2018.
The pour looks decent with its heady, cloudy pale-yellow appearance. Some floaters.
I had hoped for a lot more wheat and herbs but those seem played down. Instead it's a kind of grainy sweetness with just a touch of something berry-like.
The body is smooth and medium.
The taste is a step above the aroma with a refreshing, barley grain sweetness but not much wheat. That's one of the big things that draws me to a Hefe-Weizen is the wheat and that seems to be way played down.
