Dark brown, becoming more clear brown at the bottom with a fuzzy tan ring.
Smell is ultra faint, with airy nuts, toast and a little roast.
Taste is brown toast with a hint of estery banana bread and a touch of smoke--mild indeed, with not a lot of flavor.
A big froth builds in the medium body with a semi-dry finish.

This particular batch of this beer I am enjoying on-tap right now at the brewery is 4% AVB and is a dark mild ale as opposed to a pale mild. Served in a standard pint glass, this beer draws a clear, dark amber brown color. Looks like a lot like pepsi or Dr. Pepper in terms of the overall color complexion/appearance. Has a small, white head that’s aboit 1/3 inch when first drawn and served that settles very quickly to a thin ring lining the inside of the glass along with small cluster swirls of foam on the surface. Aromas of roasted caramel malt sweetness along with some chocolate notes. The taste is pretty much the same, with some roasted, bready, caramel malt sweetness and served me chocolate notes. Some earthy hop bitterness give the flavor profile some nice balance. Has a fairly crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and just a slightly dry aftertaste. A good representation of this style here.
