Belgian Golden Strong

Having this on-tap at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass, this beer draws a clear golden color with a white head about half an inch thick when first served. Settles to nothing at all. Aromas of some bready, caramel malts along with some spice and fruit notes. The taste is pretty much the same, with bready malts and caramel malts and some spice and fruit notes with very low hop bitterness. Has a crisp, also smooth and frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a slightly spicy and fruity aftertaste. Easy to drink in the good way beer like this ought to be, but not all that great overall. This beer has potential, it just seems like it is missing something and I can't quite put my finger on what it is.
