Having this on-tap at the breweey, this beer draws a cloudy, hazy medium gold color with a nice white head that’s about 2/3 inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles to a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with some small swirls of surface foam here and there. Nice amount of lacing. Aromas of some bready malts and wheat along with some yeasty funk and slight tart notes that give way to a leathery ester. The taste follows suit nicely, with bready malts and wheat that gives way to a bit of a barnyard funk and nice sour note with a bit of citrus. Finishes with a bit of a leathery must. Good balance of the different flavors here. Has a slightly crisp, smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a slightly dry and sour aftertaste. Easy to drink in the way good beer ought to be. A very nice take indeed on this style.
