Had Forgotten Fortress in 2021 at the (original) Oddstory taproom on draft into pilsner glass, and just had again poured from 12-oz. can, no date, into pilsner glass.
Pours bright straw-gold with 1-finger creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving rings of Belgian lace etched down the glass. Crisp, definitely citrus, floral and grassy aromas off the pour, with citrus continuing, turning earthy and floral as warms. Begins crisp and carbonated yet malty, then mild but definite citrus, leading into a drying, herbally crisp, yet still malty and fruity finish.
Straightforward, classic German pilsner, with a little citrus for flavorful interest.
