Had Psychic Glass poured from 12-oz. can, no date, into tulip pint.
Pours a bit cloudy orange-gold with 1-finger creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving a nice coating of Belgian lace down the glass. Some pine aroma off pour, but soon floral notes take over and continue, to be joined by mild stone fruit and berry aromas as warms. Begins crisp, but over a smooth malt body, and soon turns generically fruity, with moderate hop bitterness which carries through some mild malt flavor into a crisp, ultimately rather numbing finish.
Featuring a lovely, predominantly floral aroma, all the more welcome for it being out of fashion at the moment, slight haze, and moderate fruit and bitterness, Psychic Glass is an unusually balanced but finally just bitter enough West Coast IPA.
