West Coast IPA. This IPA was brewed with a new, experimental yeast strain that was engineered to produce loads of pineapple notes. It was then dry hopped with the holy trinity--Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe. The end result is a tropical burst balanced with a bold bitterness that will leave you feelin' lucky.

Had Lucky Seven at (the new) Oddstory taproom, Chattanooga, on draft into willi becher.
Pours bright gold with clarity and 1&1/2 to 2-finger, creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving chunky, overlapping rings of lace down the glass. Explosive aromas of sweet citrus, lime, berries and pineapple off pour, which drop a bit and are joined by mild pine resin as warms. On tasting, gentle carbonation delivers sweet orange and lime, tart peach and bitter citrus peel fruit juice over a mild but definite malt body, with an undercurrent of pineapple, all of which carries into a rather substantial, malty, still fruity and not all that bitter finish.
A West Coast IPA of the notably fruitier rather than bitter-er variety, maybe too much so, which still ably features the whole hop bill.
