Had Urban Exile poured from pint can, from 4-pk. labeled (apparently) canned on "FEB29 2024," into nonic pint.
Pours cloudy, deep orange-gold, with 1-finger creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving thick rings of lace down the glass. Pine resin and earthy herbal aromas off pour, then nice floral and sweet citrus aromas, and as warms aromas of pineapple and tart stone fruits. On tasting, begins with a smooth body, interrupted by crisp, resinous bitterness, which carries into tart stone fruit, and allows a little pineapple through, before a hugely herbal, crisply bitter finish.
Don't mistake what I'm about to say, because I like this beer, but some folks may find the appearance off-putting for a West Coast IPA, and the hop schedule confusing, period.
