April 2002: Rerate: Quite successful light lager. Some wheat malts are used in addition to the barley, giving the beer just a little of the dry freshness you find in a wheat beer. Too weak on the hops though.

Drinkable.
You can drink it. You will not have diarrhea, you will not puke if you drink responsibly.
Tha base flavor of the beer is a normal, dull lager.
But the aftertaste and smell is like burned grease or cooking oil.
Terrible experience.
Hansa, in general makes perfectly normal beers but this "Premium" is just simply BAD.

Got this can a couple of nights ago in a convenience store here in Oslo. Poured with a surprisingly textured, foamy, frothy, white head and a tad bit a lace. Aroma was a little interesting too: a first whiff yielded a little malt and a little fresh hop with something else. Second whiff yielded in addition a little solvent. Flavor was absolutely non-existant except for the most general flavor of "beer". The ultimate generic beer. Body was ok. Finish is the same as flavor. Perfectly forgettable.

A - Two fingers of creamy, white head on top of a pale golden body. The head sticks around for a while before settling and leaving nice lace behind.
S - Weak malt and very light hops, otherwise very clean.
T - Full, sweet malty flavor backed by mild european hops and low bitterness in the finish.
M - Medium to full body, medium carbonation, and a slightly dry finish.
D - A nice example of the style; it has a nice, clean malt character. Not at all interesting, but pleasant and drinkable.

500ml red can, best before date stamped on bottom, brought back from a freind's trip to Norway. Pours a golden color with large and quite stable head. Foam did fade away towards the bottom of the glass. Holding it up to the light there is some fine sediment floating around - but not enough to make the liquid hazy. Not alot of smell, some graininess, but I didn't find the typical "euro-skunk". Smooth taste, clean lager flavor, no aftertaste or excessive alcohol burn. Good carbonation made it thirst quenching - a nice summer beer. Thanks to Carson for bringing this back.
