On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Dark brown colour, low beige head. Nice aroma of brown and roasted malts, hints of liquorice. The flavour has more roasty notes than most brown ales, malty but not sweet, Notes of mild coffee and liquorice. Moderate but noticeable hops in the finish. Pleasant to drink. I would not protest if this one were called a brown porter.
