Tasted from pour at the brewery. Clear, dark orange brown, thin head. Coming into here I knew that they were not known for their IPAs - in fact they seemed to be aggressively anti-IPA based on word of mouth. The beer was very malty tasting with almost no hop distinction - sort of like you might find from a brew-it-yourself kit. Thick, unappealing malt flavor with a moderate bitterness and no character at all to it.
Really one need only look at the name to see the apathy woven into this beer's brewing: "Typical" IPA. What I get from that name is they put little effort into making a beer they could be proud of... and it tastes that way. I assume they brewed it only to have it served at the restaurant next door because, well, that's what people ask for these days.
