A; medium brown with a white head.

S: citrus, mainly grapefruit, and a touch of pine.

T: light citrus hop character, grapefruit peel, slightly piney. Some make in there as well. Hops aren't as forward as they could be.

M: medium bodied, moderate carbonation, and a semi dry finish.

O: more like, darn, that's alright..

Being a DIPA, I had high hopes for this one. I was sorely disappointed. Best way to describe this one in layman's terms is old. It smells old, it tastes old, and it feels almost flat. Perhaps I've become accustomed to world class beers in this category. This one is NOT world class.

Drinking from a 16 ounce can from a 4 pack @ $18. Mistake, big mistake. This IPA tastes "old". Head quickly disappears and the taste sweet but zero pizzaz! Am used to Toppling Goliath IPAs and this one can't even come close. Major disappointment!

A very smooth flavor IPA served in an IPA glass. Pale yellow to copper color and minimal froth (brought as a draft). A typical citrus flavor but not strong - a smooth flavor. A pleasant IPA. Great for sipping at this high of ABV (9.1%).

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from draft at The Explorium Brewpub on June 13, 2018. Chuck Norris vs. Lebowski. This is a big, meaty double IPA that will create a battle in your mouth of intense hops, strong honey and citrus flavor.
