Our final Wild Ale release for 2022. This ruby Belgian inspired ale spent 18 months maturing in Raumbauer Merlot barrels with a select blend of Brettanomyces cultures and received a full secondary in-barrel ferment spurred by the addition of tart red cherries. This refreshing beer balances complex, funky, grassy notes with a bright cherry pop; all tied together and mellow with oak vanillins and soft, red wine tannins pulled from the barrel.

Had on tap at the brewpub. Aroma and flavor feature sour cherry with vanilla, oak, and red wine tannins. Nice funkiness too, with leather and barnyard notes. Overall, tasty and complex but a little bit sweeter than I'd prefer.
