Each year we set aside a very special beer to be released on Black Friday. This big imperial stout has rested in a Driftless Glen bourbon barrel since before last year’s release. Expect a full body with complex wood, vanilla, and molasses notes drawn from the barrel. Psst… contains lactose.

Midnight black with a thin finger of dark khaki head. It settles into a soupy cap and crown that leaves soupy lacing.
Big roasted malts in the nose with cinnamon, nutmeg and molasses behind.
Wood, dark roasted malts and strong, lingering bitterness in the taste.
Super thick, chewy feel with tight fizz carbonation.
Love the bitterness in this one. Lactose isn’t really my jam, but it does add to the mouthfeel brilliantly here.
