I will give it a 4.22/5 To me this was not boozy. I would consider it to be a medium light duty BA Stout. It seems to have to warm up a lot before some of the flavors came out. Started out on the sweet side, but seems to get more bitter as it warms. Not a lot of oak/vanilla in this one. Fairly smooth and easy drinking. Can drank 4/10/2026.
I prefer the Milwaukee County lactose stout variant beers over this one.

12 oz skinny can stamped 1/16/26 into a tulip glass.
L: Pours used motor oil black with a fizzy dark brown head that quickly recedes to nothing, low carbo, no lacing.
S: Bourbon barrel, dark chocolate, fudge, old leather, vanilla, dark fruits.
T: Heavily sweet dark bakers chocolate, the sea, dark fruits, prunes, dates, figs, raisins, toffee, some barrel char, distant peppercorn, caramel, leather, sea salt, it is quite sweet overall and has a short-lived dynamic rise & fall of tangy sharpness, vanilla emerges in the finish.
F: Thick, very heavy bodied chalky mouthfeel with a long and very smooth drying finish.
O: Deep complex tastes and a hefty mouthfeel. The tastes flatten out smoothly as the beer warms. It is smooth despite some chalkiness and salted caramel and barrel notes are at the wheel in the middle and finish. It is sweet on the lips and is outstanding.
