Copenhagen 26/5 2019. 33 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. FrauGruber's usual can design with what looks like bundles of hair - this time with a purple hue.
Pours hazy, milky, golden yellow with a big white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fresh, sweet fruits with a citric streak. Solid malty sweetness with hints of caramel. Light exotic peach. Stronger citric sourness dominating.
Light carbonation. Soft, slightly thick texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate acidic, sour bitterness. Aftertaste is more citric and bitter. Lingers for a while.
An IPA on the sweet side. Well-balanced and easy to drink.

L: Very hazy amber color, massive four finger white head, messy lacing, light carbonation.
S: Malts, hops. Nothing special.
T: Malts, hops. Ok but boring.
F: Light bodied, adequately flavored.
O: Average IPA. It’s ok but ok doesn’t cut it nowadays.

A beer that complies with the style standards. It is a very correct but very boring beer. So boring with the unnecessary. When will they stop making same-beers everywhere?

De Decervecitas. En copa Teku. Jugando a Avernum 5. Pleasant fruity ipa, with sweet notes and an easy, fresh feel. Good but not as mindblowing as other frau gruber offerings

Pours a hazy yellow with fine, soapy foam.
Smell is fresh and inviting with notes of pineapple, apricots, peaches and some tea.
Taste is peachy and fresh with hints of pineapple and a very subtle tartness. Nice, round bitterness and a slightly dry finish.

Overall, a very nice and easy to drink IPA.

Pours a hazy yellow body white head
Tropical and citrusy in the smell. Some orchard fruits notes are noted too
The taste is quite interesting with a light tangerine tartness, some candi sweetness, dank mango, estery peach, apple and grape.
Nice carbonation
Very drinakble brew. Plain and simple thirst drink

Pours a hazy peach coloration with a medium, fizzy head. Smells of tropical/citrus hops and biscuity malt, with a faint cat piss aroma. Taste is dominated by tropical hops, with lighter notes of citrus hops and biscuity malt. There's a certain grassy, herbal character to this as well, along with a certain acidity. Notes of Passion fruit, guava, pineapple and grapefruit. Finishes with a medium/strong acidic bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Quite bitter and with a certain acidity throughout, which intensifies in the aftertaste. I've come to recognize this certain, slightly tart, acidity as quite typical in Frau Gruber IPAs and personally I quite like it. This is not quite as juicy as their other offerings, and slightly more malty. Very tropical as well.

Second favorite from the brewer. Hempy.
a) Pours a very clouded light golden body that sprouts a foamy, lasting and lacing white head.
s) Aromas of hemp mixed with citrus flesh and pine resin on malt backbone.
t) Follows smell and suitably bigger and more complex. The hemp intensity is balanced by a mineral feel.
f) Bright well carbonated, scrubbing mouthfeel, and than mineral clean up in the finale.
o) Best beer to enjoy with hemp?

Pours a slightly clouded golden color with a big, spongy head.
Smells of fresh cut lemon pulp, orange peel and big chunks of papaya atop a resinous malt foundation. Its powerfull hoppiness blends flawlessly into the sweeter maltiness, with a maintaining fresh fruitiness.
Has a very high carbonated, lighter mouthfeel, while sweeter malts get overpowered by a metallic effervescence and pungent bitterness.
Tastes of stony minerals and cake malts, then the hops become visible, providing a lemon, kiwi bitterness from the get go. Turns even more bitter during mid palate with a distractingly high, metallic carbonation and sweet oranges, mingling into toffee malts. Finishes soft, maltier with hops fading down to their level, balanced with an aqueous softness.
More than solid old school IPA with both, a pungent bitter- and maltiness.
