Copenhagen 3/6 2019. 33 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Usual Gruber design with what looks like a sea of hair. This time in dark green.
Pours unclear, unclear yellow with medium-sized white head. Bubbly. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate Lacing.
Aroma is quite fruity for a Kellerbier. Sweet Peach, Pear and Melon. Some caramel and sweet malts as backbone.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate citric-sour bitterness. Aftertaste is tart with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers shortly.
Interesting fruity take on a Kellerbier.

Hazy look, sediments present. Not a standard keller beer, with a hoppy profile - a very interesting interpretation.

Pours a cloudy deep amber coloration with a large, foamy, stable head and some floaters on final pour. Smells of doughy malt, lots of wheat and straw and just the merest hint of tropical fruit. Taste is dominated by doughy, slightly grainy wheat malt and straw with just a hint of estery, herbaceous spice and mango. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some light, herbaceous spice lingering in the aftertaste. Pillowy, effervescent mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This certainly is a modern, but quite well done Zwickl, with a great balance of doughy malt, light tropical hops and herbaceous, spicy bitterness. Mouthfeel is particularly noteable, being quite fluffy and evervescent.

Pours a hazy orange with thick, soft head.
Smell is crisp and clean with some breadiness and citrus.
Taste is soft, almost creamy. Refreshing but a little bit muddled, not as clean as the smell. Notes of citrus and a nice bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium and soft, slightly undercarbonated.
Overall, a pretty modern version of a Kellerbier. Tasty, but a little muddled.

Pours completely hazy, glowing amber in color with a stable, bubbly head.
Smells of wet hay, caramel malts and a subtle tropical fruitiness.
Drinks pleasantly smooth, with a vivid, well nuanced carbonation among a light, well balanced body.
Tastes of a strawy aqueous quality with a bit of minerals adding to the slightly effervescent carbonation. From the initial carb burst develops a part herbal, part tropical hop presence, entangled into white bread dough and hay. Finishes with a pleasant noble hop bitterness among bready malts.
Great interpretation of a Keller, sticking to its roots while providing a well balanced, entertaining flavor profile.
