Pours a clear, pale golden, straw coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of grainy, biscuity malt and grassy hops with just a hint of hay and citrus. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of grainy, biscuity malt and grassy, citrus hops, with just a hint of hay and a light, herbaceous spiciness. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and that herbaceous spiciness lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

While Frau Gruber tend to turn the hoppiness up to eleven on their traditional styles, this is a classic, crisp and clean Pilsner with a great malt/hop balance and a very mellow feel to it.
