Copenhagen 13/11 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Silver can with dramatic renderings of Hell Hounds which would fit right in on a Heavy Metal record cover from the eighties.
Pours opaque hazy gilden yellow with a midsized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patches of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fermented odor of overripe stone fruits mingling with zesty citrus fruit. Mango and peach. Lemon, tart tangerine and grapefruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is zesty and bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Fine, zesty and not too heavy DIPA.

Pours a very hazy yellow body with a two fingers white head.
Riped fruits, dank tropical fruits. Some berry notes, some citrus notes. The malt base is present and balances well the pungeant hops. The yeast rounds up the whole things with light esters
Very juicy, the mouthfeel is smooth with a low to moderate carbonation.
Overall, once again a great imperial IPA from Frau Gruber

Pours a hazy orange with fine, supple foam.
Smell is fruity with a hint of licorice, along with juicy notes of citrus and pineapple.
Taste is solidly bitter with a niice hop bite. Notes of citrus, pineapple and licorice and a dry, slightly mineral finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a nice DIPA, maybe a little bit one dimensional.

Pours an entirely clouded yellow with a spongy, medium sized head.
Smells of ripe mango, passion fruit and fresh cut lime, together with a note of lighter garden herbs and sweeter water melon.
Has a lighter, thin mouthfeel with a distracting alcohol burn / hop bite thing going on, undermining any balance in this effectivly.
Tastes of unpleasantly sweet toffee malts, which produce an alcoholic burn, dwarfing pretty much every flaw I‘ve so far experienced in a beer. Drinks quite unpleasant with a sharp burn, showcasing a late and unimportant hop dryness, coated up by a strangly pronounced sweetness.
This is an abomination of what is supposed to be an neipa. Nothing seems to come together in this. While other Frau Gruber attempts to brew hazy ipas let to muddled, easy forgettable results, this is pure mockery. Finished almost half of it.

Crazy fruit salad bomb of an IPA. Pleased to be its 2nd review.
a) An almost impossibly clouded and crowded with particulate fruit punch body, that sprouts a heat that falls to fast.
Most particulate seen in a beer.
s) Smells of its tropical fruit parts: Melon, mango, papaya, grapefruit. Fruit Salad!
t) Taste follows the aroma. like it came from a blender, it's juicy, with sweet, zesty, blaring pops of fruit flavors. Beer as trix cereal. that's barely tempered by hop bitterness.
f) Juicy is he word. Original including the feel. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel with a mid body and carbonation. Boozy too. It's the fruit punch bowl bomb of a beer.

Pours a hazy, deep amber, orange'ish coloration with a small, frothy head and some floaters. Smells of tropical fruit: mango, papaya and a hint of citrus fruit: grapefruit. Taste follows the nose, although citrus is more prominent here. Quite hoppy with some biscuity malt coming through as well. Quite juicy, with slightly sweet and zesty notes of citrus fruit: grapefruit, tangerine, lime, and hints of tropical fruit: mango, papaya. Finishes with a good, zesty bitterness. Nice, smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This was surprisingly good, definitely the best German NE style IPA I've had. Juicy, with a nice mouthfeel and bitterness. Quite some hop burn, with just a tiny bit of booze coming through as well, but really not too bad for 8.8% ABV. - I don't have a detailed review of the new batch for this one, as I drank it casually, but just like Thirsty Demons, it came as a bit of a disappointment to me, especially compared to Butcher's Lamb and Cannibal King. The hops just didn't feel that expressive and well-defined to me, despite a good juiciness.
