Copenhagen 11/4 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. The can is more thunderstorm than neonlight. Blue, cloudy sky riddled with lightening bolts. Love over Gold.
Pours opaque, hazy, pale yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a fresh, fruity odor of tropical fruit mingling with citric notes. Perfumed mango, peach and orange. Grapefruit and citrus. Pine.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly acerbic and stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry and a bit searing.
Pretty light and quite bitter. Good one.

Shared 440 ml can. Cloudy yellow colour, moderate white head. Strong hoppy aroma, notes of pine, spruce and grapefruit. Distinct flavour of American hops, some malty sweetness, solid bitterness. A classic "West Coast" DIPA.

From Decervecitas. At Almuñecar's Suites Albayzin aparthotel. In wine cup. Citrusy, grassy and with vanilla notes. Strongly bitter ending, scratching throat

Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a medium, fizzy head. Nose is quite grassy and herbal, with strong notes of citrus fruit, pine and a hint of doughy malt. Taste is an intriguing mix of dank, herbal, resinous and juicy, zesty citrus notes of grapefruit, tangerine and lime that work together very well. There's some light, doughy malt in the background as well, giving a slightly sweet note reminiscent of vanilla, even though this is otherwise quite dry. Finishes with a medium bitterness and mild hop burn, turning slightly acidic in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
With its strong herbal, piney green and juicy, zesty citrus notes, this may be the first proper West Coast New England style IPA I've had. The additional interplay of doughy malt with the zesty citrus notes lends a certain "bottermelk fresh" ice cream character to this that I already noticed in their Canned Heat Pale Ale. I've never quite had an IPA quite like this, very unique and well-balanced, proving once again that Frau Gruber are currently making the best IPAs in Germany by far.

Pours a very hazy, gorgeous looking pale yellow with a one finger head.
Aroma of lemon, pear, mango, a bit of buttery pastry
Balanced taste with a semi dry mouthfeel. Orchard fruits with apple, pear, mango, peach, minty hoppiness.
Smooth carbonation.
Overall an enjoyable NEIPA but not a complex one

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a gorgeous hazy orange with considerable white head. Nose is huge orange and lemon creamsicle. Vanilla and pine also come through. It has a nice lemon meringue pie note to it. Flavor is amazing. Some nice herbal, floral, and pine notes upfront. Very slight bitterness - tastes like citrus peel. The hops are there and really nice. Getting nice tree bark, and a bit of funk. Mouthfeel is creamy. Overall, my favorite DIPA to date. Great beer.
