Copenhagen 10/5 2019. 44 cl can from Voldby Købmandsgård (web-shop). Distraught, desperate looking fellow on the can.
Pours milky, opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer and crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Moderately intense aroma of sweet exotic fruit and citrus garden. Light odor of sweet mango soon overpowered by Grape fruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Thick, creamy, fat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a quite strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Weak nose but a strong flavor and a immensely pleasant palate.

Pours a hazy orange with fine, soft foam.
Smell is juicy with notes of peaches, oranges, kiwi and some melony sweetness. Not a very strong smell, though.
Taste is soft and juicy, with plenty of tropical notes of citrus, pineapple, peaches and a hint of vanilla. Mild to moderate bitterness with some bite to it and well balanced. A little bit of hop burn, but it works.
Mouthfeel ismedium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice NE IPA from Germany's masters of the style.

Pours a hazy golden amber coloration wirh a large, foamy, lasting head. Smell is bright and hoppy, with some light biscuity malt and notes of tropical/citrus fruit, white grape and just a hint of grassy dankness. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by bright, juicy tropical/citrus fruit notes of grapefruit, mango and papaya, as well as white grape and a distinct grassy dankness and just a hint of pine and biscuity malt. Finishes semi-dry, with a medium bitterness and light hop burn, as well as some citrus/tropical notes and mild pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is my kind of NEIPA! Superb balance of citrus/tropical notes, as well as a good dose of those white grape/gooseberry notes from the NZ hops and a distinct dankness and light pine, with some light biscuity malts to balance things out. Never turns to sweet, with a great, dry and bitter finish as well as just the right amount of hop bite. Fantastic stuff, my new favorite from FrauGruber. Still tastes great after over 4 months old as well.
