Copenhagen 17/5 2019. 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Very somber design with what looks like some kind of subdued Fire works. Interesting term a Triple India Pale Ale.
Pours opaque, murky, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma has a medium intensity, sweet fruitiness and some citric aggression. Sweet exotic fruit drenched in fermentation. Acerbic citric notes of grapefruit and citrus.
Soft carbonation. Medium thick, soft, fat texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is citric bitter and acerbic with a notable sweet undercurrent. Lingering.
Hides the prominent ABV quite well. Heavy - but not boozy. And refreshingly bitter without being aggressive.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Estudiando.

Got this one from doopie for my birthday. Cheers!
From a 440ml can into a pint glass
Best before 19 July 2019
Triple IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a small, thin, creamy white head with okay retention. Very cloudy, opaque amber yellow with no carbonation evident. Head quickly fades to a thin wisp and clings to the glass. Splotchy wisp remains until the end and leaves touches of lacing down the glass as it empties. Slightly cloudier than Hand of Glory. Good for the style.
SMELL: Bolder nose of mango, passion fruit, peaches, tangerine, pineapple, and plenty of tropical fruits. Some caramel notes as well and a touch of booze. Enticing, and much like Hand of Glory with a bit of booze in there as well.
TASTE: Bold and flavorful. Lots of tropical fruits up front. Mango, passion fruit, pineapple and peaches for sure. Nice. A bit of alcohol at the swallow, moving into a bold and lingering finish of tropical pineapple, mango, passion fruit, peaches, tangerine, and some caramel and toffee sweetness as well. Flavorful and plenty of tropical goodness, much like Hand of Glory, with a bit of alcohol as well.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body with medium levels of carbonation. Creamy and smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes slightly mouth-coating on the palate. Nice. A bit of heat as well.
OVERALL: A real treat. Delicious and bold all over the place. Really nice. This is big IPA that drinks much easier than its listed ABV. This one might be my favorite of the three but it would really be a toss-up between this and Hand of Glory. Both were excellent. I got no problem giving credit where credit is deserved, and this one and Hand of Glory deserve lots of it. One of the better NEIPA in the area and one of the best I’ve had from Europe. Thanks again, doops!

Pours a hazy golden amber, peach coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of biscuity malt and hoppy tropical/citrus notes of mango, passion fruit and orange, with the passion fruit standing out. Taste follows the nose with some biscuity, very slightly caramelly malts and juicy tropical/citrus hop notes of mango, passion fruit and orange, as well as a good, grassy dankness. Finishes with a light bitterness and hop bite, with some tropical notes lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and medium carbonation.
This is their first TIPA and they absolutely nailed it. Never feels too sweet or boozy, with great, juicy tropical fruit notes, lighter, somewhat zesty, citrus notes and a great, grassy dankness to round things out, as well as a nice, slightly acidic hop bite in the finish. Doesn't feel like a 10% ABV brew at all, in a good way. Dangerous stuff, I could drink this all night.
