Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical hops, with pineapple standing out particularly and some ligher mango and passion fruit, as well as just a hint of a certain, grassy dankness. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and quite tropical hops, being dominated by sweet pineapple and with further notes of tangy mango and passionfruit, as well as just a hint of citrus, with a certain lime note, and just a hint of grassy dankness. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness, light hop burn and some tangy tropical fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
An excellent Pale Ale that may be a little too heavy on the tropical flavors, and especially pineapple, for my personal taste, but is nevertheless an easy-drinking, yet very flavorful and full-bodied example of the style that is super-refreshing and quaffable, making it the perfect summer beer. Judging by the can design, this should be another standard offering and it is certainly worthy of of that. There may be a light hop burn to this, but personally I don't mind that all, it gives it a nice sharp and lightly acidic hop bite in the aftertaste that is actually quite enjoyable in my personal opinion.
