A 440ml can, with a fresh before date of 1st June 2022. Poured into a winebar glass.

Appearance: A hazy orange colour with a one finger off white head that dissipated quickly, while leaving only sparse to no lacing.

Aroma: Tropical, sweaty, mango, papaya, pineapple, with notes of citrus orange zest and maybe pine.

Taste: Light to moderate sweet beginning, tropical, papaya, mango, pineapple, light bitterness, orange, citrus rind and zest, light onion notes.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall: The flavour profile was not my favourite, but it was still quite good, just not ‘wow’. There was a good balance of sweet and bitter, and despite nearly 10% abv, any alcohol was well hidden.

 

 

De Tercertiempocervezas. En copa Teku. Jugando a Spiderman. Siendo una birra bastante buena, está un peldaño por debajo de lo que se suelen proporcionar Fraugruber ya que el alcohol se nota bastante -sin hacerla dificil de beber e incluso pareciendo ligera- y el perfil lupulado aunque fresco no llega a sorprender

Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and disctinct tropical/stone fruit hops, with notes of pineapple and peach, as well as just a hint of citrus: tangerine. Taste is great balance of biscuity malt and slightly floral tropical/stone fruit/citrus hops, being dominated by pineapple and peach, as well as lighter tangerine and just a hint of floral and grassy accents. Finishes with a light bitterness and some pineapple and peach lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This is another great TIPA by FrauGruber with very little overly sweet or boozy notes, actually drinking dangerously easily for the ABV, although it is just a tad too sweet and floral for my personal taste though. While I'm not a huge fan of BRU-1 hops either, they do come through very nicely here, with some distinct pineapple and peach notes, which are enhanced by some zesty tangerine.
