Copenhagen 5/7 2021. 44 cl can from SuperBrugsen, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. White can with small rectangles in red, dark and light blue.
Pours opaque, hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of fermented, tropical fruit mingling with more subdued citric notes. Sweet mango and ripe peach. Hints of decay. Sharp citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet, slightly boozy undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and soaked in alcohol.
Potent and a bit on the sweet side. Imperial without being too much.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit, tangerine passion fruit and papaya. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and juicy, slightly resinous hops, with fruity citrus and tropical notes of pink grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit and papaya, as well as some potpourri and just the merest hint of pine and sage also coming through. Finishes with a light bitterness and some pink grapefruit, passion fruit and potpourri lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is my second Talus IPA today and really brings those pink grapefruit and lighter potpourri and sage notes that I've come to associate with the variety, as well as a distinct passion fruit character from the Galaxy and additional citrus and tropical notes, with just a hint of pine, from the Citra and Mosaic. Overall this makes for a very enjoyable NEIPA that is quite juicy and has a great, expressive combination of vibrant hop characteristics to it, with the tangy pink grapefruit and passion fruit standing out particularly and the resinous, herbal and flowery accents adding an interesting twist to this. Very nice, soft mouthfeel as well, while the ABV is not detectable at all. I'm actually a bit surprised that this isn't rated higher generally, as I've probably enjoyed it the most out of their more recent brews.
