FrauGruber Brewing

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/berry/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and lighter blueberry and gooseberry, as well as just a hint of dank weed. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank and resinous hops, with tropical, citrus and lighter berry notes of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, lime peel and hints of blueberry and gooseberry, as well as some accents of pine and dank weed. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some passion fruit, grapefruit and blueberry lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

To be honest, FrauGruber's brews have gotten a little hit and miss for me lately, but this is definitely one of the better beers I had by them of late, which is quite enjoyable, actually, kind of a return to form. I just love the combination of Strata and Galaxy, lending a distinct passion fruit character to this, while the Mosaic really display some of those berry notes that you don't always get from it. The hop characteristics are quite varied and well-defined here, with some distinct sweet tropical, zesty citus and lightly acidic berry notes, as well as a great balance of sweet and bitter notes, with the dank and piney accents kicking things up a notch here.
